In todays fast-paced world where numbers and business results often take center stage, Dupoin believes that a truly sustainable company is one that looks beyond office walls to the simple yet essential values of people and community.
Guided by this belief, Dupoin embarked on a meaningful CSR journey on June 27, 2025, to Đức Quang Shelter, located in Long Hòa Commune, Bình Đại District, Bến Tre Province.
Though modest in size and infrastructure, this shelter is home to over 130 orphaned and disadvantaged children. Its a place where kindness and quiet resilience fill every corner, and where the gentle call of “dad” or “mom” often comes from a child greeting a visitor for the first time.
Giving What Truly Matters
From the start, Dupoin did not choose to make a brief appearance, deliver gifts, and leave. Instead, we began with sincere listening and observation. What is truly needed? What could make a lasting impact not just for a day, but for weeks and months to come?
That is why every item we brought was thoughtfully chosen. We provided 300 kilograms of rice to support daily meals, 48 cans of Alpha Gold milk for infants only a few months old, and various essential supplies including soy sauce, sugar, floor cleaner, diapers, and detergent. These were not symbolic gestures, but meaningful contributions to meet real, everyday needs. We didnt come with extravagance, but with a clear intention to help, rooted in respect and understanding.
Being Present with Sincerity
After traveling more than 100 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City, the Dupoin team arrived at Đức Quang Shelter at 10:00 a.m. None of us expected that the few hours ahead would leave such a lasting impression. We played games with the children, shared lunch, and handed out small gifts. In return, we received affectionate glances, shy hugs, and warm calls of “miss” and “uncle” that none of us will forget.
It became clear that meaningful impact doesn‘t require a stage, a spotlight, or a perfect plan. Sometimes, it simply takes sitting down, having a conversation, or holding a child in your arms to realize you’re doing something that truly matters.
One little boy clung tightly to Ms. Nguyên and wouldn‘t let go, as if he had long been waiting for that moment of affection. A small girl gently held Ms. Trinh’s hand and softly asked, “Will you come back again?” A few simple words..yet they carried so much meaning.
Planting Seeds of Kindness, Harvesting Connection
This journey was not about building brand image. For Dupoin, it was a genuine expression of our values. A reminder that we exist not only to grow financially, but to generate real and lasting value for the communities we serve.
Đức Quang Shelter offered us a powerful perspective. It is a place without modern conveniences or commercial polish, yet full of humanity, strength, and hope, carefully nurtured by the smallest acts of love. We didnt come to simply “give”; we came to share, to learn, and to grow alongside them.
The images, emotions, and stories we brought home will not end with this article. They will inspire future CSR initiatives and serve as a heartfelt reminder to every member of Dupoin: true value comes from small actions, done with a big heart.
A Promise to Return—and Go Further
As we said goodbye to Đức Quang Shelter, we didn‘t see this as the end. A journey of compassion doesn’t have a finish line. We will return; not only to Đức Quang, but to many other places where dreams still need shelter, and lives still need to be heard.
We will continue with more than just donations, bringing more hearts, more helping hands, and more carefully crafted CSR programs that bring long-term value to underserved communities across Vietnam.
To the monks and caregivers, those who quietly nurture compassion through every meal and every nights rest - thank you. To the children, thank you for teaching us to slow down, to be grateful, and to love in the present moment.
At Dupoin, we do not view CSR as an obligation or a checkbox. It is woven into the very DNA of who we are. And through this journey, we carry with us a simple yet profound truth: every act of giving is a chance to grow, not only for those who receive, but also for those who give.
