UTrada is regulated by the Labuan Financial Services Authority (LFSA), which oversees financial activities in Labuan, Malaysia. While LFSA provides regulation, it’s important to note that it is not as internationally recognized as regulators like the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) in the UK or ASIC (Australian Securities and Investments Commission). In my experience as a trader, regulation is essential for ensuring the safety of my funds and the integrity of the broker. The fact that UTrada holds an STP license (No.MB/19/0042) under LFSA gives some assurance, but the level of protection offered by LFSA may not be as strong as other global regulatory bodies. This means that, while UTrada is a legitimate broker, the protection of my funds may not be as comprehensive as it would be with brokers regulated by more widely recognized authorities. This is an important consideration when choosing a broker, especially for larger or long-term investments.
