Based on my review of TopstepFX’s offering and structure, I need to exercise extreme caution when considering trading costs—particularly for indices like the US100. Firstly, TopstepFX does not provide direct access to index trading; their services focus exclusively on futures contracts. This limitation is important because, as a trader, I do not have the option of trading mainstream index CFDs such as the US100 (NASDAQ-100). Another critical concern for me is TopstepFX’s lack of regulatory oversight. According to all available information, TopstepFX currently operates without any valid regulation, which raises questions about the transparency and safety of all aspects of the trading environment, including fees, execution, and operational integrity. On the topic of trading costs, TopstepFX’s publicly shared materials do not clarify their precise fee structure. There is no clear information about commissions, spreads, platform fees, or any hidden charges that might arise, nor do I see any transparent, published costs associated with deposits or withdrawals. From a risk management perspective, this degree of uncertainty makes it difficult for me to calculate or anticipate the true total cost of trading any product, let alone complex instruments like futures indexed to US equities. In my view, when the cost structure is not transparent and the broker is unregulated, the potential for unforeseen expenses is heightened. For my capital and peace of mind, I am unlikely to proceed with any broker that cannot deliver reliable information about fee composition, especially on widely traded products like indices. Based on these facts, I would approach TopstepFX with extreme caution until they provide transparent and regulated cost details.
