Mashreq does not provide explicit details about whether their spreads are fixed or variable. This lack of transparency is itself an important point; as a trader, I rely on clear disclosures from brokers regarding pricing models, especially since spreads play a crucial role in short-term and news-based trading. In my experience, brokers without transparent, regulated frameworks often default to variable spreads, which can widen significantly during periods of high volatility or major news events. This means that if Mashreq were to follow industry norms, one could reasonably expect spreads to become less competitive when markets move sharply—potentially impacting trading costs at the moments when fast execution matters most. However, since Mashreq operates without valid regulatory oversight and does not publish clear information about their spread policy, I would exercise heightened caution. Without concrete figures or independent regulatory guidance, it’s difficult for me to assess or rely on their pricing stability during critical market events.
