From my direct research and experience as a trader, transparency around fees is fundamental when evaluating any platform. With Topstep, the information I found points to a fairly open fee structure regarding deposits and withdrawals. Specifically, Topstep does not charge any deposit fees, which means I did not have to worry about losing money during the funding process—a basic expectation for most prop firms. In terms of withdrawals, there are some clear-cut charges: withdrawing via Wise incurs a $20 fee, and the minimum withdrawal amount is set at $125. Other methods, such as wire transfers or ACH, might have different processing times and potential costs, though not every detail on these alternatives is spelled out. Beyond that, I did not find evidence of hidden or undisclosed fees tied specifically to making deposits or withdrawals. However, since Topstep operates without any valid regulatory license, I am always cautious. The lack of strict oversight increases the importance of reading all published terms closely and regularly checking for updates on their website, as fee policies can sometimes change without much advance notice. For me, Topstep’s published fee policies are relatively straightforward, but given its high-risk regulatory status, I advise others to approach all transactions with vigilance and keep clear records in case any issues arise.
