Speaking frankly from my experience reviewing and evaluating brokers, I wasn’t able to find any concrete or detailed information about whether BD Securities offers fixed or variable spreads. This, in itself, is a significant concern for me as a trader because transparency around core trading conditions—like spreads—is essential in assessing risk and managing expectations, especially during periods of high market volatility. Even after some digging, BD Securities does not seem to disclose critical aspects of their trading environment, including spread type or how pricing is managed during news events. In my approach, I always look for how brokers handle the increased market volatility caused by major news releases because it directly impacts trading costs and potential slippage. With regulated and reputable brokers, I can usually anticipate that variable spreads will widen during such times, while fixed spread brokers might re-quote or even suspend trading briefly. However, BD Securities currently operates without any valid regulatory oversight and has numerous risk warnings attached to its name, which makes the absence of this information an even bigger red flag for me. Ultimately, due to the lack of transparency and regulatory safeguards, I am personally very cautious. Without clear information regarding spreads or order execution practices, I can’t confidently assess how BD Securities’ spreads behave—fixed or variable—let alone under the strain of high-volatility news events. For traders who prioritize risk control and transparency, this level of uncertainty is not something I am comfortable overlooking.
