Such variety is convenient if, like me, you're seeking access to different asset classes under one roof. However, the cons for me are substantial and warrant serious caution. Most critically, Motilal Oswal currently operates without any regulatory license. For any trader, but especially for those dealing with a firm in a YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) context, lack of regulatory oversight cannot be taken lightly. I found that this significantly increases risk related to security of funds, operational transparency, and complaint resolution. Additionally, there is no available demo account, making it difficult to test their platforms or services safely before making a real-money commitment—a notable drawback if you value risk management practices as much as I do. Given these factors, while Motilal Oswal’s product breadth and longevity are attractive, the absence of regulation and limitations in risk-free testing stand out as major disadvantages that, for me, overshadow the pros.
