As an experienced trader who's consistently careful about my choice of brokers and platforms, I looked closely into XP Investimentos and their platform lineup. From my own review, they do not support MetaTrader 4 (MT4) or cTrader, but they do offer MetaTrader 5 (MT5). This is especially notable for those, like me, who require specific technical tools or automated trading that only certain platforms provide. In addition to MT5, XP Investimentos supports Nelogica Profit Ultra, Tryd Trader, and Nelogica Profit Trader XP. I find that having access to MT5 certainly adds value for anyone who is used to more modern charting, multi-asset trading, and advanced order types. However, for traders who are set on using MT4 or cTrader, XP Investimentos might not meet those particular needs, which is a critical factor for strategy compatibility and comfort. That said, before making any decision, I always emphasize researching not just platform availability but also the broker's regulatory status and overall risk profile. With XP Investimentos, my priority is caution due to their lack of recognized regulation, as this significantly increases potential risk for my capital regardless of platform features. For me, platform choice is important, but not at the expense of regulatory security.
