Based on my direct experience researching and evaluating brokers with a focus on transparency and suitability for active trading, I found that Fidelity does not offer a free demo account of any kind. This stood out immediately in my assessment process, since the availability of demo or practice accounts is a key factor I typically look for. Demo accounts are especially important for new traders or those wishing to familiarize themselves with a broker’s platform and instruments without risking real money. The absence of this facility means I could not test their platforms, order execution, or interface using virtual funds before depositing. For me, this presents a notable limitation, as I always advise caution and in-depth platform testing prior to committing personal capital, especially when a broker offers only live accounts. Fidelity’s focus is more on mutual funds, retirement plans, and long-term investment products rather than active FX or CFD trading, which might explain their choice. However, for users with a trading mindset or those who value risk-free practice environments, this lack of a demo account should be carefully considered in any decision-making process.
