Based on my careful review of SANKO's current offerings and regulatory status, I found it is not possible for me to trade assets like Gold (XAU/USD) or Crude Oil on this platform. SANKO operates out of Japan under FSA regulation, holding a "Retail Forex License", which can suggest a currency trading focus. However, in practice, SANKO's available tradable instruments are explicitly limited to stocks, futures, options, bonds, ETFs, and REITs. There is a notable absence of access to forex pairs and commodities, including precious metals such as XAU/USD or energy products like crude oil. For me as a trader, these limitations mean that if my strategy relies on spot gold, oil, or broader commodities trading, SANKO would not meet those requirements. The platform is tailored more to traditional Japanese financial markets. I also observed the lack of MT4 or MT5 platform support, which further restricts typical commodity CFD or spot asset trading. There is no indication that SANKO offers indirect commodity exposure through derivatives or ETFs specifically tied to gold or oil either. In summary, for access to gold or oil trading, I would seek other brokers that directly list those instruments. SANKO's regulated status and history provide some security, but its current product scope does not cover major commodities. For those assets, a more globally oriented broker is likely necessary.
