trading.com Review: FCA-Regulated, but Clones Keep Using Its Name
Abstract:An FCA-regulated UK CFD broker with a clean licence and a heavily cloned brand. We break down the regulation, FCA clone warnings and user complaints to help you verify you are dealing with the genuine trading.com.

trading.com is a UK CFD broker launched in 2019, run by FCA-authorised Trading.com Markets UK Limited (reference 705428). It offers forex, commodities, indices and stocks on MT5, WebTrader and a mobile app, with a minimum deposit of 50 USD/GBP.
The licence is real, but the brand is heavily cloned. WikiFX scores it 6.60, and both the FCA warning list and user complaints point to the same risk: you may be dealing with a lookalike, not the genuine broker.

What trading.com Offers
Its profile lists more than 1,400 instruments, commission-free trading and spreads from around 0.6 pips on EUR/USD, with retail leverage capped at 30:1. A single live account keeps setup simple. The trade-off: no cryptocurrency, ETFs or Islamic account.
Regulation and Safety
WikiFX lists an active FCA licence (705428) and an active CySEC licence (256/14), both regulated. The Australian arm is different: an ASIC entry (443670) is marked unverified, so check that directly.
The bigger caution is cloning. The FCA's warning list includes several unauthorised firms copying the group's FCA-authorised entity, including WM Global Forex, MT5-PRO/MT5live, WinFX, Experia Markets and Forex Cube. These are impersonators with no connection to the genuine firm.
Complaints and What They Reveal
Several complaints under this name describe schemes that look like clones. In one, a user from El Salvador reported being drawn into a Telegram “task” scheme and losing about $44 after a refund was refused.

In another, a user from Mexico described a platform called “trading-club.com” linked to Sayan Limited, claiming losses of about $23,750 across deposits and blocked withdrawals. These reports are attributed to the complainants and appear to involve lookalikes.

Strengths and Limits
Strengths: FCA and CySEC licences, commission-free trading with low spreads, a low minimum deposit and the MT5, WebTrader and app setup. Limits: a narrow product range, an unverified ASIC entry and a heavily cloned brand.
Final Thoughts
trading.com is a genuinely FCA-regulated CFD broker, the decisive fact for most traders. The moderate score and the complaints mostly reflect the clone problem rather than a licence failure, but they are still a reason to move carefully.
Before depositing, confirm you are on the official website and check the FCA reference, start with a small amount and test a withdrawal early, and watch the live score and complaints on the WikiFX App.
