It enables investment without a minimum deposit and focuses on tax-free growth for eligible Japanese residents, making it appealing for long-term investors who want to maximize their returns within Japanese regulatory guidelines. However, this account is limited to certain investment products in line with government policy. The iDeCo account is oriented toward retirement planning, with contributions and the structure being strictly regulated, so it’s most useful for those specifically aiming to build pension assets with associated tax benefits.
