As someone who has been actively trading forex for years, I place a strong emphasis on regulatory oversight and transparency when choosing a broker. Examining Proton Markets, several red flags stand out for me. First and foremost, Proton Markets currently operates without any valid regulatory license. In my experience, the lack of regulation is a serious concern because regulation provides traders with a degree of protection, ensures adherence to specific capital and operational requirements, and offers an external avenue for resolving disputes. WikiFX has given Proton Markets an extremely low score and categorizes the license as suspicious, signifying high potential risk. This aligns with my own cautious approach; in my view, a broker with no regulatory standing is exposed to fewer checks and balances, making it easier for operational lapses or unethical practices to occur. While the company claims an operating history of 5–10 years and offers a variety of account types with relatively high minimum deposits, these factors do not compensate for the absence of oversight. Furthermore, I noticed that critical details such as deposit and withdrawal methods, trading products, and commission structures are not transparently disclosed. This lack of information makes it difficult to fully assess their business practices—a major drawback for me. Based on what I've seen, I would personally avoid Proton Markets and recommend exercising extreme caution. For my capital and peace of mind, assurance through established regulation remains nonnegotiable.
