Their reputation is bolstered by over two centuries of operation, which does inspire confidence regarding their operational rigor. However, when it comes to specifics about account funding options—especially regarding cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or USDT—I find that Pictet does not provide explicit information about accepting crypto deposits. For me, this omission is significant. Sound financial practices—and regulatory frameworks such as the SFC’s—typically require strict adherence to compliance, anti-money laundering, and robust client verification. Traditional banks and asset managers like Pictet often avoid direct participation in the cryptocurrency deposit channels that are common with some retail-focused brokers. Without clear statements or disclosures from Pictet about supporting cryptocurrency deposits, I would not assume this capability is available. If funding with digital assets is essential to my trading workflow, I would directly contact Pictet’s support and insist on formal, up-to-date guidance before proceeding. Given the above, I remain cautious. For my own security, I only use verified, institutionally accepted deposit methods with highly regulated and established firms like Pictet, unless and until they unequivocally confirm support for cryptocurrencies.
