From my experience as a trader investigating ChaoShang, I found key details about their operation—especially in terms of trading costs like spreads—are notably lacking in public disclosures. The broker, regulated by Hong Kong’s SFC and active since 2004, provides access primarily to securities, futures, and options, but not to forex or commodities, so typical forex spread considerations don’t directly apply here. What stands out to me is the absence of any mention regarding fixed or variable spreads on their platforms or in available documentation. For me, this lack of transparency is concerning. In my years trading, I’ve always stressed the importance of knowing how transaction costs, spreads in particular, are structured because these can sharply affect trading outcomes, especially during volatile events around major news releases or economic announcements. Brokers who do not clearly specify whether spreads are fixed or variable make it difficult for traders like myself to assess the true cost and potential risk of executing trades during turbulent periods. Given ChaoShang’s proprietary trading platforms and limited disclosures, I cannot determine how trading fees or bid/ask differences might shift with market volatility. For me, unless a broker is forthright about how spreads are handled and how their execution policy functions during stressful market moments, I remain cautious. I strongly recommend that fellow traders seek detailed, written clarification directly from ChaoShang regarding their spread policy and stress-test those answers thoroughly before committing their capital.
