As an independent forex trader with years of experience, I place a high priority on regulatory transparency and robust client protections when selecting a financial service provider. Based on my careful examination of Rakuten Bank, I concluded that their service is primarily structured as a Japanese digital bank offering deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and standard banking amenities. However, in my own research and experience, I could not find any official indication that Rakuten Bank supports cryptocurrency deposits like Bitcoin or USDT. What matters greatly for me—especially when dealing with international transfers and modern assets—is the clarity of supported funding methods. Rakuten Bank’s official channels appear to focus exclusively on traditional fiat currency services, and the bank’s application seems tailored for conventional account activity rather than crypto integration. Additionally, I have serious reservations due to the severe lack of regulatory oversight. Rakuten Bank currently is not regulated by any recognized financial authority, and this increases the importance of transparent information about accepted deposit methods. When a financial institution is unregulated, it becomes even riskier to attempt unconventional funding methods like cryptocurrency. That’s why, to the best of my knowledge and judging from their available product suite, I personally would not expect Rakuten Bank to accept Bitcoin, USDT, or other cryptocurrencies for deposits. In my own trading and banking practice, I only use clearly stated, legally authorized fiat channels to minimize unforeseen risks.
