Having spent years navigating various forex platforms, risk management and regulatory transparency are always my top concerns before even considering where or what to trade. With Fortex, the first and most crucial point I noticed is that they are currently not regulated by any recognized financial authority. This, for me, raises immediate concerns about the protection of traders' funds and the firm’s accountability in case of disputes. From a technical standpoint, Fortex describes itself more as a technology provider offering ECN solutions, middleware, and algorithmic trading platforms, not a typical retail broker. According to what I found, their trading platforms such as Fortex 7 do mention support for multi-asset trading, listing currencies, commodities, CFDs, and equities. Given the industry norm, commodities like gold (XAU/USD) and crude oil CFDs are frequently available on multi-asset ECN platforms. However, in my experience, the lack of explicit regulatory oversight means I would be very careful about committing funds, no matter what access is claimed. In summary, while it appears technically possible to access assets such as gold and crude oil through the Fortex trading ecosystem, the absence of clear, regulated client protections makes this a high-risk proposition. I personally would hesitate to trade those—or any—assets on Fortex without firmer evidence of regulatory compliance and transparent client safety protocols.
