From my own research and experience as a trader, Shaw and Partners is positioned more as a wealth management and investment advisory firm than a typical forex or CFD broker. Their account offerings—like Separately Managed Accounts and Model Portfolio Accounts—are structured for tailored portfolio management by professionals rather than direct, self-directed trading. Based on the information available, I have not found any mention or evidence that Shaw and Partners supports automated trading via Expert Advisors (EAs), such as you would find with MetaTrader 4 or 5 platforms. Their service model seems to focus on managed investments and goal-based portfolios, where strategies are crafted and executed by in-house professionals. For me, the appeal of EAs is in programmatic, rules-based execution and round-the-clock monitoring, but these features are normally available only with brokers that provide retail trading platforms compatible with EAs. Shaw and Partners does not appear to provide this level of direct, automated trading access to clients. Also, it’s important to exercise caution given the current "Exceeded" regulatory status flagged for their ASIC license—this means there may be compliance or operational issues to consider before opening any type of investment account with them. As a result, if robust automated trading is a priority, I would be hesitant to rely on Shaw and Partners for this capability and would recommend thoroughly verifying the platform options and level of trading control before proceeding.
