From my experience as an independent trader, I approach any broker with caution, especially those focused on multi-market access like BOOM. While BOOM has notable longevity—being established in 1997 and holding SFC regulation in Hong Kong—it’s important to recognize some gaps in their client-facing support and the user experience of their proprietary platform. I found that BOOM does not offer a demo account, which made my initial familiarization with their interface less comfortable than with other brokers. The trading platform itself has a somewhat dated feel, and I experienced some awkward website sizing on different browsers, occasionally impacting my workflow. This lack of polish might be a hurdle for traders accustomed to the smoother interfaces of rivals using MT4 or MT5. Regarding customer service, the availability of contact by phone and email is standard, but my impression is that support channels could be more responsive during off-hours, especially considering the global market exposure BOOM provides. It’s also worth emphasizing that if their site experiences downtime—even intermittently—it can influence the perception of reliability. For me, stable access and reliable assistance are crucial for peace of mind. While I haven’t personally encountered unresolved issues, the combination of a dated user experience and potentially limited live support has made me more circumspect when recommending BOOM for active or time-sensitive traders.
