Regarding fees, from what I've learned, the account opening and closing each cost 500 BDT, with a yearly maintenance fee of 450 BDT, and a cheque dishonor fee set at 1,000 BDT. These figures seem straightforward, helping me estimate basic operational costs. Still, fee transparency alone doesn’t offset the risks outlined earlier. Ultimately, while the range of services at Shahjalal Islami Bank Securities Ltd could meet some specific local investor needs, for me, the lack of regulation and high potential risk mean I would be very hesitant to engage without further assurances of client protection.
